Thankful Thursday

A blogger I follow started doing a Thankful Thursday edition on her blog, and I've loved reading hers every week. It also inspired me to start blogging again, and so of course, I'd like to try and do a Thankful Thursday here too! My aim will be to list 10 things, and hopefully remind me of all the things that are great in my life, even if other things aren't awesome. Here goes!

I'm Thankful For:

1. The beautiful weather we've been having. It's the top because I feel like I needed the weather to turn around, and am so thankful it has! I'm going to be heartbroken when it all ends.

2. Our Van. I LOVE having a van. We've only had it on the road for a few months, but oh I get happy every time I'm in it! We can haul so much stuff!!!! I can't wait til we go on a road trip or camping!

3. Schedules. Elliott has a pretty solid schedule for his day, and we seem to be able to get Emma to fit right into it. Well rested kids are well behaved kids.

4. The bible study group that meets at my house. I've gained new friends through this group, and I just love having everyone come, read together, and pray together. It keeps me fueled through the week. It also lights a fire to read my bible more independently too.

5. My parents. Honestly, they're the better than I ever could've asked for. They help us so much with different things, particularly the boys, and what's more is that they love to spend time with them.Such an immense blessing. (I'm not just saying this because I know my mom's gonna read this ;) )

6. My Job. That is, being a stay at home mom, but also having friends/family who let me watch their kids while they work so I can stay home with mine. With all the scary daycare stories out there, I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that with my boys, and that I can provide a safe, fun place for my friends/family's kids to come play too.

7. Our neighborhood. We have 3 parks really close, 2 of which are within walking distance. It's a mostly safe neighborhood, of course there's going to be crime everywhere, but I'm thankful the crime here is pretty limited. We also have an awesome view of the new Port Mann Bridge, and the boys find that endlessly cool!

8. Netflix. It might not be the best way to spend my time, but oh I love all the fascinating things I can find on Netflix. The hubby and I recently watched "Blackfish" and loved it, and proceeded to watch all the other Orca documentaries we could find. It really opened our insight on a subject we might not otherwise have thought about.

9. Dirty Dishes. The constant cycle of cleaning often gets me down, but I'm learning to be thankful for the messes that we make as a family, because it means we have more than enough. We have dirty dishes because we eat without worry about where our next meal will come from and that is something to be very grateful for.

10. Auto-save. I just accidentally closed this browser, and I'm so glad that Blogger auto saves as you write! Thankful Thursday would not have gotten accomplished if it weren't for auto save! I'm ashamed to say how often I accidentally close my browser!
