Thankful Thursday

This week's Thankful Thursday is brought to you by

Buckley's Cough Syrup.

This is what I am thankful for.

Both boys are over their colds, but mine lingers on. And it's a doozey. I ventured to call it a "man cold" yesterday, which Josh thought was hilarious. I am feeling a lot better today, after a good night sleep. But even at that, I only have the brain-power to be thankful for Buckley's.

You know when...

You know when you're so overtired, you often find yourself in giggle fits with tears streaming down your face for no reason? Or you actually laugh out loud at things that aren't funny. Or you get home from somewhere, get out of the van and go into the house without getting the kids out of their seats?

Those are all things that happened to me today. Elliott is sick (and miserable) again, which means my I've had a nasty case of sleepus-interruptus, which lead to some odd behaviors today. On the bright side I didn't get caught drooling.

What silly things do you do when you're sleep deprived?

As a side note -- isn't it funny how when you have a newborn, your body adjusts to the sleeplessness and you do weird stuff less, but once you've gotten to sleep good amounts at night for a good stretch, even one night of interrupted sleep can turn you into a giggle zombie?

...I think this post made sense...

Springing Forward

Can I just say that "springing forward" is stupid. Of course, I couldn't fall asleep at all as fast as I normally can. And of course, the boys wake up earlier than they normally would have. And of course the neighbor's kid (at least I assume it must be his child because an adult should know better!) thinks it's a great morning to BLAST music so that the floors shake.

* No, I haven't had coffee yet, can you tell?

At least the sun is supposed to be shining today. It's a little cloudy right now, but I have high hopes it'll clear off for a little afternoon romp in the sunshine.

Happy Sunday!
